Water Main Break Alert: On Bacon Ave south of Webster Rd AND At the Intersection of Hamilton & Larkmoor Blvd

UPDATE: Both water main breaks have been repaired and service is back to normal.

We have been informed by our Public Works (DPW) that there is are TWO WATER MAIN BREAKS this morning. 

Main Break #1 - THIS HAS BEEN REPAIRED
The first water main break is on Bacon Ave. south of Webster Rd. DPW staff will be starting repair work as soon as the third-party utility locating has been completed. Once repairs have started, DPW anticipates residents on Bacon Ave. from Edwards Ave. to Webster Rd. will have service disruptions.

Main Break #2 - THIS HAS BEEN REPAIRED.
The second water main break is at the Hamilton and Larkmoor Blvd Intersection. This one impactS Rogers Elementary School so DPW is waiting until school is dismissed before beginning the repairs. DPW anticipates residents in the following areas will be impacted:

  • Oxford Rd. from Henley Ave. to Mortenson Blvd.
  • Harvard Rd. from Henley Ave. to Mortenson Blvd. 
  • Larkmoor Blvd. from Hamilton to Mortenson Blvd. 
  • Hamilton from Harvard Rd. to Oxford Rd. 
We will have two separate crews working on these breaks. Once work begins, typical repair times are around 3 - 5 hours. There is no boil advisory.

Residents in the surrounding area may experience discolored water during and for several hours after the repair has been completed.
