Employee Assistance Program

Another benefit offered by the City of Berkley is the Employee Assistance Program (EAP).  The EAP  provider is HelpNet and services are available for eligible full-time employees and their dependents.

An EAP is a work-based intervention program designed to identify and assist employees in resolving personal matters (e.g., marital, financial, emotional; family issues; substance/alcohol abuse) that may adversely affect employee’performance.  Services are provided by a master's level, fully credentialed therapist with multiple years of experience. The therapist's role is to:

  • Listen fully without judgment
  • Help you find solutions
  • Encourage your progress
  • Protect your confidentiality
HelpNet also offers online seminars and articles that provide helpful information on general "life" topics. The seminars and articles,  available on demand, are just a click away.
