City-Wide Staff In-Service Happening Friday, October 7, 2022

Attention Berkley Community:
City Departments will be closed for a HALF DAY on Friday, October 7, 2022, for a staff in-service day. 

The building hours are as follows:
  • City Hall: Open to the public until 12 PM.
    • Residents can still drop off their absentee ballots via the secure Dropbox located at City Hall.
    • Any Treasury payments can be done by check via the secure Dropbox or online at
      • Note: Cash is NO LONGER ACCEPTED via dropbox or mail.
  • Library: Open to the public from 10 AM to 12 PM
  • Public Works: Open to the public until 12 PM.
  • Community Center: Open to the public until 12 PM. 
  • Public Safety: Will continue to provide 24-hour operations and support to the community.
Normal hours will resume on Monday, October 10, 2022.

2022 Election Information 

Upcoming Elections - 2022
  • State General Election: November 8, 2022

For those wanting to vote in person, all precincts will be OPEN 7 AM - 8 PM on Election Day with the appropriate social distancing practices in place. Everyone planning on visiting the polls is encouraged to wear a mask.


Election Update on Voter ID 2022

Due to the recent redistricting in Michigan, new voter ID cards have been mailed out to the community. You can view the new districting information map on our precinct page here

Clerk's Office Extending Its Hours for ELECTION BUSINESS ONLY
We want to ensure that Berkley voters have ample opportunity to make their voices heard in the upcoming election.

The Clerk's Office has extended its hours for election business only on the following days (no appointment needed):

 Date:  Time:
Saturday, October 1, 2022 9 AM to 1 PM
Thursday, October 13, 2022 (drive-thru) 5:30 PM to 7:30 PM
Thursday, October 20, 2022  5 PM to 7 PM
Saturday, November 5, 2022 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM 

Residents will be allowed into City Hall AFTER normal business hours to do the following:

  • Register to vote
  • Vote absentee ballot
  • Drop off absentee ballots in-person
    • NOTE: Residents can still drop off their ballots via the secure Dropbox located at City Hall
  • Spoil ballots
