Police Reserves Unit

The Police Reserves are a uniformed, volunteer unit, which draws its members from the City of Berkley. Duties include riding along with officers as needed and assisting sworn personnel at many special events, such as the Woodward Dream Cruise, Berkley Days, and sporting events. Members average about 100 hours a year of auxiliary service. Currently, there are 10 Reserve Officers.

Members are required to participate in a 30-hour, in-service training program. They receive training in CPR, first aid, bloodborne pathogens, crime prevention, traffic control, and other related areas.

If you are interested in becoming a member of the Police Reserves, contact Sgt. Nate Papke at (248) 658-3380.
