Causes of Foreclosure

Forty-three states have experienced increases in mortgage foreclosure.  What are the causes? The two main reasons are the loss of a job and a serious illness. Combined with mortgage companies with predatory lending practices and adjustable rate mortgages some homeowners are unable to make the monthly mortgage payments.
