What is the City doing?

Replacing large equipment and trucks (street sweepers, vactors, fire trucks, etc) with vehicles that use bio-diesel.
Requiring all city departments to use recycled paper for copiers and printers.
Keeping our streets clean! Clean streets means less debris in our water/sewer system.
Working with our residents. The city created the Environmental Advisory Committee to help make Berkley a green community.

What will the Environmental Advisory Committee do?

study the city operations and make recommendations for improvement
make recommendations for conserving energy and protecting the environment
educate our residents on how to take steps to protect the environment
