Who

residents 18 or older who have registered to vote at least

What
are the criteria for voting by absentee ballot and how do
I apply?
Anyone meeting
the following criteria is eligible to vote by absentee
ballot:
- 60 years of age or older.
- physically unable to attend the polls without assistance
of another.
- appointed as a precinct inspector in a precinct other
than the precinct where you reside.
- expect to be absent from the community in which you
are registered for the entire time the polls are open
on Election Day.
- cannot attend the polls because of the tenets of my
religion.
- cannot attend the polls because of confinement to jail
awaiting arraignment or trial

Why
does my voting precinct seem to change for different elections?
Because the
School District runs its elections and the School District
boundaries encompass more than just the City of Berkley,
precinct locations are different for School elections
and those administered by the City (local, State and Federal
elections).

Do
pets have to be licensed? Is there a limit on how may dogs
or cats I can have?
All dogs and
cats over 4 months old must be licensed. There is a limit
of 3 dogs or 3 cats or combination per household.
