Spring Tree Planting Program

This program enables residents to purchase beautiful trees at a reasonable cost. Trees are about 1½ inches in diameter and approximately 8 to 12 feet tall.

Tree Trimming and Removal

Every year, we prune trees in the right of way. The reason for this is so garbage trucks and the snowplows do not hook onto over hanging trees. A contractor performs heavy trimming with a bucket truck on a rotating basis throughout the city. We are currently on a six to seven year cycle. Tree removal on the right of way is contracted out. Tree removal must be approved by the Director of Public Works and meet the criteria for removal.
