2020 Parks & Recreation Master Plan

What is a Recreation Master Plan?

Parks Master Plan Graphic_Updated
The City of Berkley Parks and Recreation Master Plan conveys a vision for our parks and recreation within the City. The purpose of this plan is to guide the recreation planning and development efforts of the City over a five-year period. Once adopted, the plan is the official document to be used by City staff and the community to guide decisions regarding parks and recreation. Additionally, the plan is intended to meet state standards for community recreation planning and is necessary to gain eligibility for grant programs.

Check out the current 2016 Recreation Master Plan.

What is the process?
City officials and staff with the consultant team, Carlisle Wortman & Associates, are committed to a master plan with a compelling vision supported by realistic goals and objectives.

City staff and consultants are facilitating a 9-month process with three phases:

  1. Vision & Outreach - COMPLETE
  2. Plan Design & Drafting - In Process
  3. Final Plan Adoption
